Natalie Rocyn - Jones
About me: Born in Keynsham, Bristol in 1975, I studied a Textiles/
Fashion degree, at Winchester School of Art from 1994-1998 achieving
a 2.1. There I specialised in Knit wear design. My work was chosen
not only for the BHS Graduate Fashion week catwalk, but also for the
acclaimed Gala Award Show, hosted by Jeff Banks.
Following my degree, I worked freelance, for a London based agent
who sold my work to buyers from across Europe, Japan and the USA.
My work has also been bought by Missoni. I have also exhibited
and sold work in Spike Island, Bristol and local shops in Bath.
More recently, I have been working as an Art and Textiles teacher,
during the two and a half years it has taken me to complete this
collection.
Based on the natural elements: air, water, earth and fire, this
exciting collection includes techniques such as devore, felting,
heat transfer and embroidery. Many designs include fine wire and
bead detail.
